Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has launched the ‘Vision@50 city strategy’ initiative to guide the city’s holistic development as the body approaches its golden jubilee in 2032.
In a focus group discussion held on Saturday at Ga Di Madgulkar Auditorium, Additional Commissioner Pradip Jambhale Patil emphasised the importance of involving stakeholders from all sectors to shape the city’s future roadmap.
“Vision@50 is being implemented under the leadership of Municipal Commissioner Shekhar Singh, with the aim of collecting ideas and feedback from citizens across fields. This workshop reflects our commitment to creating an inclusive and ideal urban vision for Pimpri Chinchwad,” Jambhale-Patil said.
He added that while the city has a strong identity as an industrial hub, it is equally important to focus on areas like education, environment, sports, urban infrastructure, and mobility.

These workshops are vital to identifying the direction our city should take as it completes 50 years.”
