A 25-year-old working as a bouncer attacked two persons with a sharp weapon on their necks over personal enmity in a span of over an hour at two different places on Friday night. In the incident at Kharadi, a 33-year-old building supervisor was murdered and in the incident at Magarpatta City, a 39-year-old engineer was critically injured.
Police have arrested a 25-year-old suspect identified as Shubham Nichal (25), a resident of Holkarwadi, who according to police, works as bouncer at various commercial establishments. Balkrushna alias Balu Dhanaji Kamble (33), a resident of Thite Vasti in Kharadi, sustained fatal injuries in an alleged attack by Nichal in Kharadi around 7 pm on Friday.
Officials from Chandannagar police station said that Kamble, worked as a housekeeping supervisor at a building in Kharadi. The incident came to light after Kamble was found dead in a pool of blood with his throat slit, on an empty plot next to the building he worked. Officials said that Kamble and Nichal had a dispute in the past. The attack on Friday night was a fallout of that dispute, a probe by police revealed. A First Information Report in the case has been registered at Chandannagar police station.
In the second attack, that took place around 8 pm at Magarpatta city, Nichal attacked his distant relative Rahul Kale (39), who works as an engineer with a private company. Officials said that the attack was a fallout of a personal dispute between two distant relatives. “Kale has sustained a severe injury on the neck. He had to undergo an emergency surgery and is now out of immediate danger.” said an officer from Hadapsar police station.
Officials said that a team from Hadapsar police station started probing the attack on Kale and detained Nichal. Around the same time, a probe by officials from Chandannagar police station revealed Nichal’s role in murder of Kamble. He is currently in the custody of Hadapsar police.
