With less than a month left for the Assembly elections in Maharashtra, around 50 candidates from both the ruling and opposition parties filed their nominations on Thursday. The leaders rushed to submit their nominations on Guru Pushpya Amrit Yog, considered an auspicious time for religious rituals and new endeavors.
Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray, who is seeking a re-election from the Worli constituency, held a roadshow in Worli Thursday morning and offered prayers at a temple before filing his nomination.
He was joined by family members, including his father and Sena UBT president Uddhav Thackeray and mother Rashmi Thackeray.
During the roadshow, Aaditya expressed confidence in winning the Worli seat again, stating his main goals are to eradicate unemployment and stop the “loot of Maharashtra”.
Aaditya criticised Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and the BJP for allegedly looting the state. “What is important is to defeat Eknath Shinde and the BJP, who have looted Maharashtra,” he said.
