Confirming the development, Zonal Deputy Commissioner of Police, Sangramsinh Nishandar said the charges were framed only against Atikh, Rafiq and Javed. “MCOCA has been evoked as there is evidence against the trio,” Nishandar said.

“The others were only the foot soldiers. We have found that the trio was mainly responsible for the idea. This according to us is an organised crime,” said a senior police officer. All the arrested are in jail as their bails have been denied by a sessions court in Mumbai.
