GNGC students bag top eight varsity ranks

LUDHIANA: In the results of MSc in Chemistry fourth semester declared by Panjab University on Friday,the students of Guru Nanak Girls College (GNGC),Model Town,bagged eight top varsity ranks. Shama Kakkar stood first in PU with 82.2% marks,Komal Bagga stood second with 79.75%,Jashanpreet Kaur stood fourth (78.25%),Manveer Kaur stood fifth (78.15%),Megha Gaba stood seventh (77.60%),Priyanka stood eighth (77.55%),Neha stood ninth (77.4%) and Jaspreet Kaur stood 10th (76.75%).

PCTE group holds theatre festival

LUDHIANA: PCTE Group of Institutes organised its first-ever Theatre Festival on Friday. A Punjabi play,Rishtey, written by Dr S N Sewak,was staged by Ludhiana Kala Manch,a leading theatre group of the city,on PCTE campus-2 at Baddowal. The play was about the conflict of modern-day relationships in the context of three generations. The second play,Andhe Hai Hum,was in Hindi and was staged at the same venue. It was a satire on social and economical situation.
