Tata chairman meets CM, discusses industrial development, investment promotion in UP

TATA SONS Chairman N Chandrasekaran met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at the latter’s residence in Lucknow on Wednesday, officials said. The meeting centered around industrial development, investment promotion and future strategies for the state, with detailed discussions on positioning Uttar Pradesh as an ideal destination for both domestic and international investors, said a statement.

A key focus was the progress of the proposed temple architecture museum project in Ayodhya, it said.

The discussion also covered the Jewar airport project, which is expected to bring transformative economic and commercial growth to eastern Uttar Pradesh.

Also, talks were held regarding the establishment of an MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhauling) facility for Air India, which would enhance the state’s aviation services sector and generate employment opportunities.

Adityanath praised the Tata Group’s investments in Uttar Pradesh and reaffirmed his commitment to fostering a conducive industrial environment, continuous improvement and streamlined administration for investors. He encouraged Tata Sons to expand their investment in the state, particularly by setting up a global captive centre in Lucknow.
