Inadequate fire-fighting arrangements at Calcutta University

An inspection team of the West Bengal Fire department today pointed that the college street campus of the University of Calcutta does not have adequate fire-fighting arrangements. A team of fire officials inspected the college buildings and pointed towards lack of fire alarms and water source on the campus. Debopriya Biswas,Additional Director General of Fire Services,said the university lacks in various areas like not having water source and fire alarm to deal with the situation before the arrival of fire tenders.
