The Sambhal district administration will put up posters of those involved in the November 24 violence that killed four people, District Magistrate Rajender Pensiya said Thursday.

“After studying the drone video footage, we were able to get pictures of those involved in the violence. We will most likely put up their posters today (Thursday),” said Pensiya.

He also told The Indian Express that the district administration has identified at least 400 people involved in the violence that broke out over a court-ordered survey of a mosque. As many as 32 people have been arrested so far in connection with the violence, he said. “We are designing the posters which will be put up after excluding those who have already been arrested,” said the DM. This comes a day after Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed senior officials to identify those involved in creating unrest in Sambhal.

“Whether it is Gautam Buddh Nagar, Aligarh, Sambhal, or any other district, no one will be allowed to spread chaos… Identify those responsible for creating unrest, put up their posters, seek public support, and conduct extensive search operations…,” the CM told senior officials at a law and order review meet.
