IT was a smart decision by Art
India magazine to celebrate its 16 years with a new design and theme. Its 61st issue features Sarnath Banerjees Churning and is dedicated to graphic novels and comics. Editor Abhay Sardesai gives a view of the graphic novels in India while Jerry Pinto talks about how Indians have grown up on Amar Chitra Kathas vibrant imagery. Among others,the issue puts spotlight on two prominent graphic novelists Amruta Patil and Banerjee,making it attractive for those addicted to the art of comic books. This special issue was unveiled last week by Sangita Jindal,president of Art India.
