THE family members of slain lawyer Sukhmanpreet Singh Sidhu alias Sippy Sidhu met UT Inspector General of Police, R P Upadhyay, and sought a speedy probe in the case. Sippy’s younger brother Jippy Sidhu and his mother Deepinder Kaur met the IG and discussed the progress in the investigations. The family members said the IG has assured them that all the culprits involved in the murder would be arrested soon.
The family members further said they will leave no stone unturned to get the culprits arrested. “We will approach the Prime Minister’s Office if needed. We met the IG today and he assured us that the case will be solved soon. The IG also told us about the progress in the investigation,” said an uncle of Sippy Sidhu.

The police,meanwhile, are still in the dark even though officials said the case will be cracked soon. “The Whatsapp messages and some locations of the numbers which were found saved in Sippy’s phone are helping us. We are close to finding the murderers,” said a police official.
The official added that they have questioned all suspects and are now analysing their statements, following which arrests will be made. The official further said police had got vital clues from a diary recovered from some people who had allegedly followed Sippy and had conducted a recce of his house last month.
