Punjab education minister Harjot Singh Bains Wednesday revealed newly-designed uniforms for students of Schools of Eminence (SoEs).

He also announced that students will get Rs 4,000 grant every year from the state government to buy these uniforms.

Schools of Eminence are specialised schools started by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab for students of Classes 9 to 12.

Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann said that 117 Schools of Eminence have been set up in 23 districts of the state to provide quality education to children. Mann said that these schools are focusing on grooming the students for professional and competitive fields, including engineering, law, commerce, UPSC and NDA.

In other government schools of Punjab, there’s no single pattern or design for uniforms which followed across state and each school has its own uniform.
