ICG to host 15th edition of Capacity Building Senior Officers’ Meeting

The meeting will be held as per the Regional Cooperation Agreement on Combating Piracy and Armed Robbery against Ships in Asia — the first and only regional government-to-government agreement to promote and enhance cooperation to suppress piracy and armed robbery against ships in Asia.

The Indian Coast Guard will organise the 15th edition of ‘Capacity Building Senior Officers’ Meeting’ (CBSOM-2023) from December 11-15 at GIFT City in Gandhinagar to understand the situation of maritime piracy and armed robbery against ships in Asia.

Coast Guard Director General Rakesh Pal will inaugurate the four-day meeting that will see participation from 19 subject matter experts across 15 countries.
