For a country like India, with scores of people travelling on trains every day, it's probably unthinkable that a train would carry only one passenger. In fact, that a train would run only for one passenger sounds bizarre. But in Japan, the Kami-Shirataki train station has been kept open for just one such girl, according to CCTV News. But the JR changed its decision once the officials discovered a young girl used the station to go to high school every day. (Source: CCTV/Facebook)
For years now trains have stopped at the station just for her. JR will keep the train station open until she leaves school. (Source: CCTV/Facebook)
The girl is expected to graduate on March 26, 2016, when the station will then be closed. (Source: CCTV/Facebook)
Every day only two trains stop at the Kami-Shirataki station with a unique timetable depending on when the girl needs to go to school and back. (Source: CCTV/Facebook)
People are really appreciative of the JR for its focus on education and the department's resolve to make sure the unnamed girl finishes her studies. (Source: CCTV/Facebook)
