At least four people have been injured in a stabbing attack reported from a restaurant in South Korea’s Seoul on Wednesday, officials said, Yonhap news agency reported.
Officials said of the four people injured, two were reported to be in cardiac arrest and were in a critical condition.
The incident took place at a restaurant in Seoul’s Gwanak district at around 11am (local time), when the suspect who wielded a knife attacked people present in the premises of the restaurant.
Yonhap reported quoting officials that out of the four people injured, three were men, including the suspect and one woman, however, it was not clear who were the two people that were reported to be in cardiac arrest.
The motive behind the stabbing attack remains under investigation, however, Seoul police believe the attack was not a random act of violence and said an investigation into the incident is currently under way.
