We all have childhood friends whom we share our core memories with but gradually lose touch with them in life. A few years ago, two childhood friends were reunited, all thanks to the internet. Now their story is going viral once again.

In 2018, an X user Brianna (@briannacry) shared a picture of herself with another young girl and wrote, “Hey twitter, I met this girl on a dinner cruise in Hawaii in 2006. We were basically bestfriends for that night so I need y’all to help me find my bestfriend cause I miss her and I need to see how she’s doing now. Please retweet this so we can be reunited.”

Her post soon gathered over two lakh likes and one lakh reposts. Interestingly, a day later, the friend in the picture, Heidi (@adelheid_jpg), reached out to Brianna and shared a picture from the same Hawaii cruise. She wrote, “Heard you were looking for me…”

Earlier this week, @globalpositivenews shared these sweet interactions in an Instagram post that gathered over 4.8 lakh likes.

In June, an Instagram user Neha (@heyyneha) made an account dedicated to tracking down her school friend Lakshita. “I’m on a mission to find my long-lost childhood friend. Lakshita age – 21, her brother’s name was Kunal,” says the bio of her special Instagram account called @finding_lakshita. Neha texted all the girls called Lakshita on Instagram and eventually found Lakshita Jetawal (@lakshita_jetawat) — the girl she was looking for.
