CHENNAI, June 26: M A Latheef, newly-elected President of the Tamil Nadu Wakf Board, has asked government to conduct a survey of wakf properties in the State. He said some 10% of the Board’s properties, totally valued at thousands of crores, had not been surveyed yet. Several Wakf properties had been illegally occupied, and government should take steps to redeem them, Latheef, who is also State President of the Indian National League, said.
