Three children of a family were killed and another seriously injured when firecrackers kept in a house exploded in Bihar’s Gopalganj district on Tuesday, the police said.

Govardhan Ram had bought some firecrackers for selling them during the Diwali, but an earthen lamp accidentally fell on the crackers igniting them causing a major fire.

Govardhan Ram’s two sons Sonu (13) and Raja (seven), besides nephew Vivek (12) died on the spot. Another family member Kishore Ram has been admitted to a referral hospital at Bhore in a critical condition, the sources said.
