December 5: Mumbai police have beefed up security in the city to maintain law and order on the occasion of the death anniversary of Dr B R Ambedkar tomorrow. December 6 also marks the completion of five years after the demolition of Babri Masjid. Accordingly, 35,000 policemen, 4000 homeguards, and 60 State Reserve Police and Rapid Action Force platoons will be deployed in various parts of the city. Police patrolling vans would be deployed in sensitive areas.
