When Dr Ajay Abrol, an orthopedic surgeon, and his wife Dr Rekha Abrol, a radiologist, uploaded the video of their singer-musician son on the internet, they didn’t know that the little wonder would travel places.
Kartik Abrol has got a break in Australian FM Radio, and international offers are pouring in. Melbourne-based radio station has sent an all-expenses-paid invitation to seven-year-old Kartik, a student of DAV Public School, to showcase his talent in singing and playing keyboard simultaneously for its Indian audience on the programme ‘Humsafar’.
A keen drummer himself, Dr Abrol encouraged his son to sing and play synthesizer keyboard, simultaneously. Father’s efforts proved fruitful when Kartik stood third in ‘Sur Tarang’ programme of a private channel.
Australian Radio FM 97.7 coordinator Deo Narayan called them up and conducted a telephonic interview with Kartik, said Dr Rekha.
Principal of DAV Public School Neera Sharma said Kartik has opened a new avenue of showcasing talent other than reality shows.
