Fans of the beloved Netflix series Sex Education can now acquire a piece of their favourite show and one of TV’s most iconic real estate properties. Yes, you read that correctly! The picturesque property in Symonds Yat, overlooking the River Wye in Herefordshire, which served as the residence of the lead character Otis and his sex therapist mother Jean in the show, is currently on the market for sale.
However, you need to shell out a massive amount for this stunning home. The property has gone on the market for a whopping £1.5m! It is described on the state agent’s website as “quite exceptional with stunning views of the Wye Gorge” from its secluded, woodland setting.
Spread over 4.52 acres, the house features 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and 3 reception rooms. It also has balcony terraces and a stepped path that runs from its grounds down to the River Wye itself. This sprawling chalet is being sold by Knight Frank in Bristol.
The property description on the website states that the chalet was built in 1912 for use as a salmon fishing lodge and is of Norwegian design. The previous owner spotted and bought the property during its debut at the Ideal Homes exhibition in London that year. In recent times, with its present owner, the house has been a sought-after location for various shoots, including Channel 4’s Extraordinary Escapes and Sex Education.
