J&K: 2 drug peddlers, one cattle smuggler booked under PSA

Police said a team of J&K Police from Billawar police station in Kathua apprehended a hardcore criminal/drug peddler, Javed of Dadwara village.

Three people including two drug peddlers and a cattle smuggler were booked under the stringent Public Safety Act (PSA) Saturday in three districts of Jammu and Kashmir.

Identified as Arun Javed, Imran Hussain Giri and Makhan Lal, the accused were apprehended in Kathua, Kishtwar and Udhampur, respectively.

Police said a team of J&K Police from Billawar police station in Kathua apprehended a hardcore criminal/drug peddler, Javed of Dadwara village. In view of his alleged involvement in illegal activities in the past, a dossier was prepared against him under the supervision of Kathua SSP, Shobhit Saksena, and sent to the District Magistrate who issued the warrant ordering his detention under PSA.
