Close on the heels of the blockbuster success of Saripodhaa Sanivaaram, Nani joined the sets of his next, Hit: The Third Case. Apart from this project, Nani also announced joining hands with filmmaker Srikanth Odela for the director’s next. Now, on the occasion of Dussehra, the pooja for his film with the Dasara filmmaker took place to make things official. Sharing pictures from the event, Nani wrote, “Ur next will be bonkers. We had a puja on this special day. More updates will follow #NaniOdela2”.

Netizens also praised Nani for adding the director’s name to the official hashtag for the film instead of following the usual trend of using the actor’s name. Srikanth Odela made his debut with Nani’s Dasara, which became a commercially and critically successful venture, and also starred Keerthy Suresh. The film, which was set in the backdrop of a coal mine, was an emotional drama overloaded with action.

While there have been no official announcements about the cast and crew of Nani’s film with Odela, there have been reports that composer Anirudh Ravichander has been roped in for the project. This would mark the third collaboration between Nani and Anirudh after Nani’s Gangleader and Jersey.

The first look of the project, which was launched earlier this year, came with the tagline, “You don’t need an identity to be a leader.” Backed by Sudhakar Cherukuri’s Sri Lakshmi Venkateshwara Cinemas, this would be Nani’s 33rd project.
