Shoaib Ibrahim, Dipika Kakar post first picture with son Ruhaan: ‘Thank you for keeping him in your prayers’

Shoaib Ibrahim and Dipika Kakar welcomed their son on June 21 but he was in NICU for a few weeks.

Actor-couple Shoaib Ibrahim and Dipika Kakar have shared their first photo with their newborn son Ruhaan. The television actors shared an adorable picture where they are seen doting on their son as they hold him close to them.

Ruhaan was born premature on June 21 and was admitted to NICU for many days. In the caption, Dipika thanked their fans for praying for the family. She wrote, “RUHAAN. Thank you for keeping him in your prayers.” Another new mother, Gauahar Khan commented on the post and wrote “Blessings”.

The television couple has a strong following of fans online and offline. Their YouTube vlogs are a hit amongst fans.

Ruhaan stayed in the NICU for 20 days until the doctors declared him healthy enough to be taken home. In the video posted by the couple, Dipika shared her relief at taking her son with her. She said, “In the video, Dipika says, “I am very happy. Bohot sukoon hai ki ghar aa gaye hain (There is a lot relief that we are back home). There is a different glow on my face today despite being sleep deprived. Shoaib and I haven’t slept at all.”

It was on the same platform that they announced the name of their son as Ruhaan. They had a unique way of announcing the name on the vlog. In the video, each family member held an LED-lit letter of the alphabet in their hands and unveiled the name together. Shoaib said, “Our madam (Dipika) liked this a lot and she only thought and found the name. We liked it a lot and we were very sure about the name from the beginning.”

The couple has recorded their journey through the pregnancy and the beginning of their parenthood together. They also posted a video showing the reaction of the family members when they met Ruhaan for the first time.
