On Sunday, Salman Zaidi was announced as the winner of MTV Ace of Space 2. Social media star Adnan Shaikh and ex-Roadies fame Baseer Ali were announced as the first and second runner up, respectively, in the Vikas Gupta-hosted reality show.
Spanning over 73 days, MTV Ace of Space 2 saw the contestants pass through multiple challenges and fighting for space in the captive reality show. The other finalists included Shruti Sinha, Krissann Barretto, Rashmi Jha and Prakruti Mishra. Salman took home the winner’s trophy and cash prize of Rs five lakh.
Hailing from Hyderabad, Salman Zaidi is a boxer by profession. He impressed the audience and contestants with his ‘never back down’ attitude. Apart from enjoying a roller coaster ride, he also found his lady love Krissann Barretto in the show. Interestingly, finalists Zaidi and Baseer have been friends for long but the show challenged their equation as they fought to win the title. They had their own shares of ups and downs, with Baseer’s mom even accusing Salman of backstabbing her son.
On winning the show, Salman Zaidi, in a statement, said, “The feeling of winning is amazing and beyond words. I’m thankful to my fans and family- inside and outside the house, this win wouldn’t have been possible without them. This competition was theirs and this trophy is dedicated to them. I love each one of them and couldn’t be happier winning for all my near and dear ones.”
This star-studded finale saw the finalists present some breathtaking performances. It was also graced by popular TV and Bollywood stars like Neil Nitin Mukesh, Adah Sharma, Vikrant Massey, Harleen Sethi, Amrita Rao, Tejaswi Prakash, Shantanu Maheshwari and Sidharth Nigam.
