Bigg Boss 17 confirmed contestants list: Scoop fame Jigna Vora, Lock Upp winner Munawar Faruqui to enter Salman Khan show

Sources close to indianexpress.com have confirmed that former journalist Jigna Vora, on whose life recent show Scoop was based, has been confirmed as a contestant. The crime reporter was jailed for allegedly being involved in the murder of another senior journalist. She penned her experience as a biographical memoir Behind Bars in Byculla: My Days in Prison, which was later adapted by Hansal Mehta as a web show for Netflix. Starring Karishma Tanna, the series received accolades from all quarters, and this could help Jigna in forming a deeper connection with audiences through Bigg Boss.

Munawar Faruqui to get locked up in Bigg Boss 17

Another noted figure Munawar Faruqui, who has spent time in jail — in real life and then in a show Lock Upp, has been signed for Bigg Boss 17. The comedian and a co-performer were arrested for allegedly hurting religious sentiments on their show. He spent 37 days in custody before the judge shrugged off the case as ‘vague’. Munawar used the angst of his experience in the ALTBalaji reality show and emerged as the winner last year.

Priyanka Chopra’s cousin Mannara in Bigg Boss 17

As per Bombay Times, Priyanka Chopra’s cousin, actor Mannara Chopra and former Miss India Manasavi Mamgai have also been confirmed. While Mannara, who also goes by the name Barbie debuted with Zid, she was recently in news after her Thiragabadara Saami director allegedly kissed her forcibly. Manasvi on the other hand was recently seen in Kajol’s digital debut The Trial.

Armaan Malik likely to enter Bigg Boss 17

While we cannot confirm, as per reports YouTuber Armaan Malik is said to be on the show along with his wife Payal Malik. There are also rumours that Elvish Yadav’s former girlfriend Kirti Mehra and YouTuber Faiz Baloch are in talks for the reality show.

Ankita Lokhande likely to enter with husband Vicky Jain

As per multiple reports, Ankita Lokhande and her husband Vicky Jain will be one of the couples this season. While Ankita’s presence could add drama, it would be for the first time, audiences will get to know Vicky closely. Udaariyaan fame Isha Malviya is also said to be one of the TV faces this season.

Salman Khan-hosted Bigg Boss 17 will launch on October 15 on Colors.
