Rajinikanth gets swarmed by fans in Puducherry as he shoots for Lal Salaam. Watch

To reciprocate the love of his fans, Rajinikanth waved at them from his car’s rooftop and expressed his gratitude for all the love with folded hands. In another video, the 72-year-old actor is seen stepping out from his vanity van and addressing the people who came to see him on the sets.

Lyca Productions, the banner backing Lal Salaam, had earlier revealed Rajinikanth’s look from Lal Salaam. His character was introduced as ‘Moideen Bhai’ who is “everyone’s favourite bhai”. His look from the film was shared with the caption, “Everyone’s favourite BHAI is back in Mumbai 📍 Make way for #Thalaivar 😎 SuperStar 🌟 #Rajinikanth as #MoideenBhai in #LalSalaam 🫡”.

A few days ago, the superstar also posted a photo of himself with the former Indian skipper Kapil Dev from the set of Lal Salaam. He also announced the former cricketer’s cameo in the movie.

Lal Salaam stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in the lead roles. The music of the film has been composed by AR Rahman.

Rajinikanth was last seen in the 2021 Diwali release Annaatthe. He will be next seen in Jailer, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. With music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, Jailer is scheduled to release on August 10, 2023. The actor recently wrapped the shoot of the film with Tamannah Bhatia. Meanwhile, Lal Salaam is aiming to release theatrically later this year.
