Celebrities such as Allu Arjun, Chiranjeevi, Radhika Sarathkumar, Pooja Hegde, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Trivikram, Vennela Kishore and many others graced the South Indian International Movie Awards, which were held on Saturday and Sunday. While on the first day, the audience witnessed Mahesh Babu winning Best Actor award for Maharshi, Nani and Rashmika Mandanna also took home a couple of awards. Dhanush won Best Actor for his 2019 film Asuran, while Mohanlal won Best Actor for his 2019 release Lucifer.
The second day of the event was full of celebration and also emotions. Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo won several awards at the event. “What a Night ! Best Actor , Director , Actress , Music , Singer , supporting role Male… Female , Lyrics, n more …. #AVPLSweep ! Thank you @siimawards for memorable night,” Allu Arjun shared on his Instagram account. Meanwhile, Suriya’s Soorarai Pottry grabbed seven awards on Sunday night.

The event also saw presence of K Viswanath, a legendary filmmaker. He was honoured with Lifetime Achievement award. The award by presented by Chiranjeevi and Radhika, who have featured in several iconic films by K Viswanath.
Film fraternity remembered late SP Balasubrahmanyam at SIIMA 2021. SP Balasubrahmanyam passed away on September 25 last year after a long battle with Covid-19 complications.
