Dies Irae trailer: Bramayugam fame Rahul Sadasivan’s psychological horror film features a fear-stricken Pranav Mohanlal

Following the tradition of genre experts like Ari Aster in the West, Rahul works in worlds where the mere act of living inside your head can be the biggest of all horrific propositions. Pranav Mohanlal plays a psychologically tortured man, who is the only one able to feel the presence of a dead one around him, with chilling revelations. The trailer promises a densely packed, visually layered psychological examination of a character losing his sanity over what is real and what is not. Dies Irae’ has been bankrolled by Night Shift Studios & YNOT Studios, the same producers behind Bramayugam.

The rest of the supporting cast for the film has not yet been revealed, and the trailer shows us glimpses of Pranav’s character encountering  Dies Irae, which translates to ‘the day of wrath’, and feels like a nightmarish odyssey of a traumatized man followed around by an elusive spirit. The film retains the technical department heads from Bramayugam with a musical score by Christo Xavier and cinematography by Shehnad Jalal. Dies Irae‘ will be released worldwide on October 31st as a Halloween release.
