Director Subhash Ghai and his wife Mukta Ghai have sold a property Andheri West, Mumbai. Reported have it that the apartment was sold for Rs 12.85 crore. The filmmaker had originally purchased the apartment in August 2016 for Rs 8.72 crore.
As per the property registration documents accessed by Zapkey.com, Subhash Ghai’s apartment is on the 14th floor of a building named Rustomjee Elita in Andheri West, Mumbai. The filmmaker got a 47 percent increase in value over the span of roughly 7 years.
The documents also shared that the apartment sold by Subhash Ghai had a carpet area of 1,760 sq ft with two car parking spaces were sold at around Rs. 72,000 per sq ft carpet.
The apartment was sold to Sameer Gandhi and the property was registered on January 22, 2025, with a stamp duty of over Rs 77 lakh, and a registration fee of Rs 30,000. Located in one of Mumbai’s most sought-after residential neighbourhoods, it is home to several Bollywood actors, producers, and directors.
In the recent past, Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar were also in the headlines after they sold their apartments in the Mumbai’s Andheri and Borivali respectively.
Amitabh Bachchan sold his duplex apartment in Oshiwara, Mumbai, for Rs 83 crore. The property registration documents had it that Big B’s duplex apartment was purchased by him for Rs 31 crore in April 2021 and was recently sold for Rs 83 crore, reflecting a remarkable 168 per cent increase in value.
Whereas Akshay Kumar sold his apartment in Borivali East, Mumbai, for a whopping Rs 4.25 crore which he originally purchased for Rs 2.38 crore in November 2017.
