Pahalgam terror attack: Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra, Shahid Kapoor, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Karan Johar, among many other prominent figures from the entertainment industry, have taken to social media to express their outrage after the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
Shah Rukh posted on his X account, “Words fail to express the sadness and anger at the treachery and inhumane act of violence that has occurred in Pahalgam. In times like these, one can only turn to God and say a prayer for the families that suffered and express my deepest condolences. May we as a Nation, stand united, strong and get justice against this heinous act.
Salman Khan too took to his X handle to share his pain over the incident and wrote, “Kashmir,heaven on planet earth turning into hell. Innocent people being targeted, my heart goes out to their families . Ek bhi innocent ko marna puri kainath ko marne ke barabar hai.”
Priyanka Chopra shared that she is ‘deeply anguished’ by the recent Pahalgam terrorist attack, and wrote in her post on Instagram, “What happened in Pahalgam is reprehensible. People were there on vacations, honeymoons, celebrating with their families. Just taking in the beauty of Kashmir. So many innocent lives were caught in a storm they never asked for. Targeted, right in front of their loved ones.”
Priyanks added, “This is not a tragedy we can move past from. This heinous attack should shake the conscience of humanity. This will haunt us for a long time. To those grieving, displaced, mourning, and living in fear, my thoughts and prayers are with you. I’m so deeply anguished by this.”
Alia Bhatt too shared a note that read, “The news from Pahalgam is heartbreaking. Innocent lives lost. Tourists, families, people who were just…. living. Seeking beauty. Seeking peace. And now there’s only grief. And the unbearable weight of it. Every time something like this happens, it chips away at our shared humanity. May those souls rest in peace. And may those left behind find strength somehow – though I don’t know how we even begin to ask that of them.”
Shahid Kapoor too posted his reaction on Pahalgam attack and wrote, “Innocent lives lost in Pahalgam. Nothing but pain comes out of such cowardly acts of terrorisms. This is not what anyone’s God would ever accept. Jo jo karam karegga tu use hin hoga bharna. Praying for the families dealing with the immeasurable loss.”
Comedian Samay Raina, who has recently been in the spotlight due to the India’s Got Latent controversy, also took to Instagram to respond to the attack. Sharing a long message, he wrote that today is a day for “grieving,” and reflected deeply on the loss, stating, “to kill one is to unmake one.” In his post, he also urged for collective remembrance and accountability, writing, “we will all seek justice, remember every name.”
Anushka Sharma posted on her Instagram story, “Heartbroken to hear about the cold-blooded terror attack on innocent people in Pahalgam, Kashmir. Heartfelt prayers and condolences to their families. This is a henious attack that will never be forgotten.”
Katrina Kaif too shared via her Insta story, “Heartbroken by the horrific attack in Pahalgam. Unsuspecting and innocent tourists and civilians whose lives have been tragically taken. Deepest condolences to the families of the victims during this unimaginable time. Praying for strength and peace for all the families who have lost loved ones. May justice be served.”
Sharing his own thoughts, Director Karan Johar, wrote, “This is heartbreaking… Prayers to the families and loved ones of the innocent lives lost in this heinous attack…” Samantha Ruth Prabhu also posted a photo on her Instagrsm stroy that read, “Only cowards attack unarmed humans. No religion teaches terror acts on innocents. All EYES ON PAHALGAM.”
