Singer Mika Singh has never shied away from recounting light-hearted, long-standing anecdotes involving superstar Shah Rukh Khan. Over the years, he has shared how SRK once promised to gift him a bike, a promised that remains unfulfilled. In a recent conversation with Galatta India, Mika once again brought up the story, this time with folded hands and a smile, directly appealing to the camera and to Shah Rukh himself:
“Khan saab, please give me my bike. You had said it yourself. You said, ‘Mika, I’ll give away five bikes—one to you, one to Abhishek, and one to John.’ And maybe John has already got his. So Shah Rukh bhai, please yaar, give me my bike. Even if it’s a bike without wheels, just give me something, so I’ll feel satisfied that my brother kept his word.” The heartfelt jest was received in good humour, as Mika clearly holds fondness for the Bollywood icon.
Mika also recalled another special interaction that left a lasting impression on him. While they were both shooting in the same studio complex, Shah Rukh happened to call Mika, who was there to shoot for a song for Himesh Reshammiya. On finding out they were nearby, Shah Rukh personally came over to visit Mika after wrapping up his own shoot.
The gesture meant a lot to Mika, not just because of the surprise visit, but because it also left Himesh, who hadn’t worked with Shah Rukh before, pleasantly surprised. As word got out, a crowd gathered to catch a glimpse of the star, prompting SRK to leave quickly. Since his own car was stuck at the time, Mika offered his vehicle to him, saying it would be a huge privilege to have the superstar use his car. Mika shared that he continues to possess that car and has no plans of selling it as it is now precious for him.
