China is fast becoming the next big market for Bollywood. After the release and subsequent success of ‘PK’ and other films, we hear that Karishma Tanna and Upen Patel are looking at this fast growing neighboring market. In fact news is that the duo will apparently be seen in an Indo – China collaborative film directed by Chinese Edd Liu.
Tweeting about the same Karishma Tanna posted, “Super excited about signing up with Chinese director @DirectorEddLiu #NewAdventure #9AppsOnTV http://bit.ly/9Apps_OnTV_download …” Later adding to Karishma’s tweet Upen posted, “Thank God.Looking fwd 2China trip wit @karishma_tanna 4this project @DirectorEddLiu #9AppsOnTv http://bit.ly/9Apps_OnTV_download.”
Apparently, the reason behind Lui roping in Karishma and Upen is to cash in on the immense hype in the Chinese movie market for Bollywood actors and films. With the maturing taste of the Chinese audience, the demand for new kinds of cinema is on the rise.
The shooting is supposed to start in early 2016.
The couple is currently seen as participants in dance reality show ‘Nach Baliye 7’.
