A new trailer of Dharmendra‘s last film Ikkis, directed by Sriram Raghavan, was released on Monday. The clip offers glimpses of Dharmendra, who plays the father of 21-year-old Second Lieutenant PVC Arun Khetarpal, portrayed by Agastya Nanda. Khetarpal was awarded the nation’s highest gallantry award, Param Vir Chakra, for continuing to stay in the Battle of Basantar and take on the Pakistani tanks even though his own tank had been hit by enemy firing.
In the new trailer of Ikkis, Agastya, grandson of megastar Amitabh Bachchan, looks fully prepared for the challenging role of India’s youngest Param Vir Chakra awardee. After making his screen debut in Netflix’s The Archies, Ikkis marks his theatrical debut. He stars alongside debutante Simar Bhatia, who is Akshay Kumar’s niece, and Jaideep Ahlawat.
Before unveiling the trailer of Ikkis, the makers also shared a poster of Dharmendra with the caption: “Fathers raise sons. Legends raise nations. Dharmendra ji, an emotional powerhouse as the father of a 21-year-old immortal soldier. One timeless legend brings us the story of another. Ikkis in cinemas worldwide on 25th December 2025.”
