Ananya Panday shares a tight bond with her mother Bhavana Pandey. The duo have often opened up about how the actor’s mother has been her guiding force, best cheerleader, and most honest critic. In fact, Ananya has even admitted that she takes Bhavana’s inputs in every decision and she would be ‘lost without her’. However, the Kho Gaye Hum Kahan actor has now revealed that her mum is busier now. Bhavana found fame after appearing in the Dharma series, Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives.
In an interview with Forbes India, Ananya was asked about how dinner table conversations go being a public figure whose life is out there in public, considering her mother Bhavana and cousin Alanna Panday have also starred in reality TV shows, she replied, “I am quite open as a book. I don’t try to lie and hide. However, I have become more protective of things that really matter to me. Nothing really has changed at home. Now, my mom is a lot busier, I would say. She goes all, ‘Oh, I can’t help you with this. I am shooting, doing this or that’.”
Does Ananya give her mother tips and guidelines to navigate her way in the industry, after her debut in The Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives? The actor said, “She doesn’t need anything. She used to be a VJ before, so she is actually pretty comfortable in front of the camera. The best thing about my mom in the show was that she was really honest and herself. She didn’t get carried away by ‘What a reality star is supposed to be’. She has pinned herself, which is good.”
Ananya further added, “She is always honest and herself, actually both my parents are. It’s something I have got from them, I like that in me.”
On the professional front, Ananya Panday was last seen in the OTT release CTRL, on Netflix. Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, the thriller drama also featured Vihaan Samat and Devika Vatsa. She will next star in Vivek Soni’s romantic drama Chand Mera Dil alongside Lakshya Lalwani, expected to be released this year.
