Tambe was recently arrested along with his aides in connection to an attempted murder case lodged at the Yerwada police station.

Pune city police invoked the stringent Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) against gangster Abhishek alias Abhi Ramesh Tambe (21) and his associates.

This is the 50th MCOCA case registered against criminal gangs in the city under the supervision of Pune city police commissioner Retesh Kumaarr, stated a press release issuedon Sunday.

Tambe was recently arrested along with his aides in connection to an attempted murder case lodged at the Yerwada police station.

Senior police inspector Balkrishna Kadam submitted a proposal to invoke MCOCA against Tambe and his gang members to additional commissioner of police Ranjankumar Sharma through DCP (zone 4) Shashikant Borate.
