Aana Gupta and Sanchika Ingle scored convincing wins to enter the finals of the girls under-11 and under-19 events at the Kirloskar Pune Open All-India junior squash championships. The tournament is being played at the squash facility at the Poona Club under the auspices of Squash and Rackets Federation of India (SRFI).
In the girls under-11 semifinals,Mumbais Aana Gupta ousted Tina Lal 11-9,11-6,11-7,while in the girls under-19 semis,top seed Sachika Ingle from Delhi outplayed Pankhuri Malhotra 11-6,11-3,11-3.
In the girls under-17 quarterfinals,Riddhi Sampat upset second seed Riya Sisodia. 11-3,11-7,11-4. In the girls under-15 category, Sunayna Kuruwalla won against fifth seed Mahima Gupta,11-8,11-2,11-3,to make it to the final four.
In the boys under-17,seventh seed Robin Mann scored a win over fourth seed Sandeep Paswan 11-6,13-11,11-9 to enter the semi-finals.
The finals of all events will be played on Sunday from 3pm onwards.
