The corporation’s target is to open the 82-km long Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut corridor to the public by 2025. Before that, it plans to open a 17-km-long “priority section” between Sahibabad and Duhai Depot. Once fully operational, the corridor is expected to reduce the commute between the capital and Meerut to under one hour.

He was accompanied by the directors and senior officials of the NCRTC for the inspection which spanned Muradnagar, Modinagar South, Modinagar North and Meerut South stations, which are part of Package 3 of the project.
