Greater Kailash, Kalkaji, Bijwasan Election Result 2025 Highlights: As vote counting is in the last lap in 70 Assembly constituencies in Delhi, BJP leads in 48 seats, AAP in 22 and Congress in none. In major losses for AAP, Arvind Kejriwal lost the New Delhi seat, while Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj lost the Greater Kailash constituency by over 3,000 votes. BJP’s Garvit Singhvi won the seat by 49,594 votes. Chief Minister Atishi has won Kalkaji seat by a margin of 3,580 votes. BJP’s Kailash Gahlot leads in Bijwasan by over 9,600 votes after fourteen rounds of vote counting.
Conceding defeat, AAP supremo Kejriwal said the party worked for people in the Capital during their terms and would continue to help citizens. Congratulating BJP for their landslide victory, Kejriwal hoped the saffron party would fulfil its promises.
The high-stakes election witnessed fierce campaigning by AAP, Congress and BJP. While AAP leaders emphasised on their welfare schemes and Delhi model of governance, BJP led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi hit back over “Sheesh Mahal” controversy, Yamuna’s water quality, and freebies. The make-or-break election for the AAP has seen the party suffering major setback with former CM Kejriwal unable to secure a win from New Delhi constituency.

AAP candidate and Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj has lost Greater Kailash constituency by over 3,000 votes after 14 rounds of votes counting.
In Bijwasan, BJP's Kailash Gahlot continues steady lead by over 9,000 votes while AAP's Surender Bharadwaj trails, as per ECI.
After trailing for the last nine rounds of vote counting, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi has wrested back lead from BJP’s Ramesh Bidhuri and is currently leading by 2,795 votes.
As BJP takes lead in 47 seats, AAP in 23, saffron party members are out in streets celebrating. Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva told PTI, "You can see the excitement among party workers. People of Delhi have trusted PM Modi's words. They have trusted PM Modi's agenda of development. This is a victory of PM Modi's leadership and party's national leadership who inspired workers like us. I want to say this very humbly that no we will make Delhi a developed capital."
After trailing for the last nine rounds of vote counting, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi has wrested back lead from BJP’s Ramesh Bidhuri by 989 votes, as per ECI.
With BJP taking lead in 48 seats and AAP in 22 seats, social activist Anna Hazare, with whom AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal was associated during numerous anti-corruption campaigns, said: “I have been saying for a long that while contesting the election, a candidate must have a character, good ideas and have no dent on their image. But, they (AAP) didn’t understand it. They got tangled in liquor and money — his (Arvind Kejriwal) image was dented because of it and that’s why they are getting fewer votes in the election.”
He added: “People saw that he (Arvind Kejriwal) talks about character but gets involved in liquor… In politics, allegations are made. One has to prove that he is not guilty. The truth will remain truth. When a meeting was held, I decided that I would not be part of the party and I have remained away from that day…”
After trailing in a huge margin for the last eight rounds, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi has narrowed the gap. Currently, Atishi trails by 238 while BJP's Ramesh Bidhuri leads, as per ECI trends.
The AAP, BJP and Congress fiercely campaigned in Kalkaji. Right in the beginning, the poll campaign witnessed Delhi CM breaking down during a press conference when asked about comments made by BJP’s Kalkaji candidate and former MP Ramesh Bidhuri about her father.
Later, Atishi alleged Atishi alleged that her party members were being threatened by BJP candidate Ramesh Bidhuri’s supporters, including by his nephew. On the ground, water and sewage problems have remained problems for decades.
As three more rounds of vote counting are remaining, it remains to be seen how it has impacted people.
Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj trails in Greater Kailash by over 1,066 votes after nine rounds of vote counting, as per ECI.
After seven rounds of vote counting, BJP's Ramesh Bidhuri is leading by 2,882 votes while Atishi trails. The poll campaign witnessed Bidhuri courting controversies with his remarks.
He had said, “Chaar saal se log nark bhog rahe hain… Ab jab chaar mahine chunav main reh gaye, toh Atishiji in galiyon main jaise jungle main hirni bhaagti phirti hai, vaise bhaagti phir rahi hai. (For four years, people have been living in hellish conditions… When there were four months to go for the elections, Atishi ji has been running around like a doe runs in the jungle).”
Before that, Bidhuri had come under fire after he attacked Atishi for “changing” her surname from Marlena to Singh.
As five rounds of vote counting are over in Greater Kailash, AAP candidate and Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj trails by over 4.440 votes while BJP's candidate Shikha Roy has secured 19,660 votes, according to Election Commission of India.
After three rounds of vote counting, Atishi trails by 1,039 votes as Bidhuri gains lead, according to ECI.
After two rounds of vote counting, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi has bagged 7,465, BJP's Ramesh Bidhuri has gained 8,807 and Congress's Alka Lamba has secured 782.
It remains to be seen if anti-incumbency or AAP's governance model won people's verdict.
A BJP win would mean the party returns to power in the national capital after 27 years. It would also mean one of the biggest setbacks to the Aam Aadmi Party since it first came to power in Delhi in 2013, effectively changing the national political landscape.
While BJP leads as per early trends, party supporters have ventured out in streets celebrating.
Meanwhile, in Delhi, the BJP leads in 43 seats, AAP in 27 seats, and Congress has lost its lead in the lone seat it was gaining.

As BJP takes lead in early trends, party candidate Kailash Gahlot exudes confidence in victory. Speaking to PTI, Gahlot says, "BJP will form government in Delhi. People showed a lot of support for us even during the election campaign. I am sure that BJP is winning."

It remains to be seen if the BJP will make a comeback in Delhi after 27 years. As vote counting is underway, the BJP leads in 48 seats, AAP in 21, and Congress in 1 out of 70 Assembly constituencies. Atishi continues to trail.
AAP bigwigs including Arvind Kejriwal, Atishi and Manish Sisodia are trailing. Across 70 Assembly constituencies, BJP leads in 44 seats, AAP in 25 and Congress in 1, as per early trends.
