Anti Corruption Branch (ACB) of Aam Aadmi Party government has arrested a Delhi Police head constable for allegedly accepting a bribe in Sonia Vihar area of northeast Delhi.

However, an Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) and a constable managed to escape from the spot late last night, a senior official said on Saturday.

The ACB’s move comes after a complaint was registered at Delhi Government’s Anti-Corruption Helpline -1031.

According to a senior official, the accused head constable was posted at Sonia Vihar Police Station.

“Complainant made a video recording of head constable demanding a bribe. Complainant registered a complaint against head constable, ASI and constable at Delhi government’s Anti-Corruption Helpline and thereafter, action was taken against the corrupt police officials,” the official said.

ACB will produce accused head constable in the court today and a manhunt has been launched to nab absconding ASI and constable.
