US President-elect Donald Trump’s inaugural committee has reportedly stopped selling tickets to major donors as there is a shortage of tickets to attend his Swearing-in-ceremony.

Donors who put in million dollars for the inauguration of the president-elect reportedly have been put on waitlist as tickets for several programmes scheduled for the inauguration in Washington D.C have been sold out.

However, according to a DailyMail report, this development hasn’t stopped donors from sending money for the inauguration ceremony of Trump even when there seems to be a shortage for tickets and access to the inaugural events.

The raised amount by Trump’s inaugural committee is already almost three times the sum raised by incumbent President Joe Biden in 2020, as $62 million was raised by the Democrat leader’s inaugural committee when he defeated Trump in the presidential election.

Inaugural committee’s spokesperson Danielle Alvarez said, “There is an incredible interest and excitement for President Trump’s inauguration and the events surrounding,” reported DailyMail.

The donations received for the Inauguration Day will be utilised for the oath of office ceremony, the parade, and the inaugural balls among others as the American taxpayers do not fund these ceremonies.

The events scheduled for Inauguration includes Make America Great Again (MAGA) rally on Saturday, a reception with President-elect Trump’s Cabinet nominees and dinner with Vice President-elect JD Vance, the DailyMail reported quoting from a donor package’s copy.
