A video of a woman forced to buy an iPhone for her son after he went on a hunger strike for three days demanding the expensive phone has emerged on social media, prompting chatter among users. According to the video shared by journalist Abhishek on X, the woman earns her living by selling flowers outside a temple.
The viral clip shows the woman’s son standing with a wad of cash in his hands. “I sell flowers outside a temple and I gave him the money to buy the phone because he did not eat anything for three days,” the woman says in the video. “I am happy but I want him to earn and bring back the money,” she further says.
Sharing the video on X, the journalist wrote, “This video is saddening. This boy’s mother sells flowers outside a temple. He insisted on buying an iPhone, and went on a hunger strike for 3 days. In the end, the mother gave up and bought him an iPhone with her hard-earned money. Her expression says a lot.”

Reacting to it, a user wrote, “Breaks my heart to see his mother’s expression. This generation is doomed.” Another user commented, “That’s emotional and financial torture to the mother , he should have some shame. and what’s the fuss with those iPhones. If he really needed a phone. He could’ve got a better or similar android for a lot cheaper.”
