In their latest Instagram post, Mumbai Police noted that the ‘action time’ of Mumbai Traffic Police is almost the same as ‘reaction time’ of MS Dhoni.

One can count on Mumbai Police to come up with witty and informative social media posts on topics such as road safety and cybercrime. Every once in a while, the law enforcement agency also shares posts that appreciate their own police force.

On Tuesday, the Mumbai Police made one such post against the backdrop of the Chennai Super Kings’ win over Gujarat Titans. In the Instagram post, the police force shared a picture of Dhoni stumping a wicket on the field, juxtaposed with a photo of the traffic violation captured on CCTV . The Mumbai Police noted that the ‘action time’ of traffic police is almost the same as the ‘reaction time’ of MS Dhoni (MSD).

While this post gathered over 28,000 likes, in the comment sextion, many people complained about police’s apathy and corruption. Echoing this view, an Instagram user wrote, “MTP asking for bribe is even faster. And action on complain is myth.” Another person wrote, “MTP at their service..100 light years 🤣” “But MSD doesn’t require the exact location to take action!,” remarked, the third.

In April, a Twitter user shared a photo of two police personnel riding a scooter without helmets. Soon this tweet gathered hundreds of likes. Soon after, the Mumbai Police tweeted that the offending officers have been issued a chalan of Rs 500.
