Bollywood actors Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh tied the knot in Italy on Wednesday in the presence of family and close friends, and fans in India couldn’t be happier. The Bajirao Mastani stars are scheduled to have two marriage ceremonies, one adhering to Konkani rituals and another in Punjabi-Sindhi-style on Thursday, honouring the traditions of both families. The Konkani wedding ceremony took place at a resort overlooking the picturesque Lake Como in Italy.

As soon as the news spread, friends too started wishing their favourite couple and Amul released a doodle to mark the joyous occasion. Portraying Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone in a regal avatar, the brand sketched the Padmaavat stars feeding each other bread and butter. Donning matching blush pink sherwani and lehenga, the couple have been featured against the picturesque backdrop of Lake Como.

But it’s not the cartoon that steals the show but the witty pun in the tagline that won hearts online. “Ranveer not Singhle anymore!” reads the tagline, in a nod to Befikre actor, while for the Chennai Express star, it added: “Amul — the Deepik-tion of taste!”

Fans were excited to see the cute tribute from the dairy brand and couldn’t stop gushing online.

Bollywood director-producer Karan Johar was of the first to send out his best wishes for the couple and tweeted, “Such a stunning gorgeous and beautiful couple!!!! Nazar utar lo! @deepikapadukone and @RanveerOfficial !! Badhai ho !!! Love you both!!! Here’s to a lifetime of love and joy!”
