Pop icon Taylor Swift released her latest album The Tortured Poets Department on April 19. It became the first album in history to be streamed for the billionth time on Spotify, and broke several other records too.
As fans obsess over the 19 songs, Mumbai’s Brihanmumbai Electricity Supply and Transport (BEST) buses featuring the album’s cover printed on the sides and back, have been spotted. Sharing the photos, an X handle @TheSwiftSociety, wrote, “The Tortured Poets Department” buses have been spotted in Mumbai.”

Shared on May 15, the post garnered over 3,55,00 views with Indian fans demanding the pop star’s Eras Tour in the country. Reacting to it, a user wrote, “Indian swifties be like : finally it’s our time to shine”. Another user commented, “Okay now I need to step outside my house because WHAT.”
“May be Mumbai is one of the venue for eras tour. If this happens, another human made earthquake will gonna happen in mumbai,” a third fan wrote.
The Tortured Poets Department was released as a 16-track standalone album. Two hours later, Swift surprised fans by releasing a second volume, titled The Anthology, with another 15 tracks.
According to BBC, the album sold more than 1.8 million copies in the US in its first week of release. Of those, 700,000 were on vinyl. With this, Swift broke her own record for the largest sales week for an album on vinyl since modern tracking began in 1991.
The 14-time Grammy winner on her Eras Tour will next perform in Stockholm for three nights at Friends Arena starting May 17.
