A flight attendant has garnered praise for his exceptional care towards a nervous passenger who voiced her anxiety about flying.
The woman, whose identity remains undisclosed, was flying on a Delta flight from Charlotte-Douglas International Airport in Charlotte, North Carolina, to JFK International Airport in New York.
A fellow passenger Molly Simonson Lee shared the experience on Facebook and recounted how Floyd Dean-Shannon dedicated his time and attention to the anxious traveller.
The Delta flight attendant addressed the passenger’s fears by explaining every sound with a warm and calming demeanour, a gesture that resonated with the approximately 25 million Americans who suffer from aerophobia or have an extreme fear of flying.
He sat on the floor beside her, offering comfort by holding her hand throughout the flight. Lee commended Dean-Shannon’s kindness, highlighting the flight attendant’s soothing tone and genuine concern for the passenger’s well-being.

They also urged the company to recognise and reward employees like Dean-Shannon. The sentiment resonated with numerous individuals across the internet, suggesting a collective agreement that exceptional service deserves acknowledgement and appreciation.
