Bangladesh railway officials’ efforts to stop passengers climbing atop trains go viral. Watch

In the video, Bangladesh railway police officials can be seen arguing with passengers and pulling some down while trying to climb atop a train.

A video showing people thronging a train at a railway station in Bangladesh, and a few railway police officials trying to stop passengers from climbing atop the train, is doing the rounds on Instagram. In the last few weeks, we have also seen videos of a woman trying to climb atop a train and a man copying stunts from a game called Subway Surfers.

The video was shared by Instagram page @amarbanglaremati on April 9, crediting ‘Jamuna TV’. The caption of the post said tickets were sold out due to Eid holidays and that a lot of people climbed on top of trains since there were no seats available inside.

The caption also said that while some didn’t buy tickets because they couldn’t afford it or because they “didn’t want to”.

Unfortunately, there were too many people for the railway officials to manage. Responding to the video, one user said, “Normal day in Bangladesh”. Another user wrote, “Bangladesh isn’t for beginners”. And a third commented, “think they’re coming to vote in India.”
