It all started with Farukh Choudhary breaking the deadlock in the 34th minute after Sergio Castel’s effort was brilliantly stopped by Kamaljit Singh. However, the rebound went straight to Choudhary, who opened the scoring from close range.
The visitors bounced back right at the stroke of half time as Marcelo Pereira as he scored Hyderbad’s first ISL goal at the 45th minute. After being awarded a free-kick just a few yards away from the centre line, Rohit Kumar took a quick set-piece and released an aerial delivery towards Marcelo on the right. The second half was mostly about Jamshedpur attacking and Hyderabad trying to control the proceedings.
