Gold Rate Today: Gold prices in India have displayed significant volatility in recent days. After surging to high levels, prices dipped during the five-day Diwali festivities and have continued to fall sharply in the days since. However, as of today, Friday, October 31, the current gold rates have witnessed an uptick in prices, as compared to yesterday.
Gold is considered an ideal inflation hedge, with 24-carat gold being the most expensive form of gold, and it is commonly used for investment purposes. In contrast, 22-carat gold and 18-carat gold are primarily utilised for jewellery.
Today’s gold prices have seen an increase of ₹120 per gram for 24K gold, bringing it to ₹12,268 per gram. Similarly, 22K gold has risen by ₹110 per gram to ₹11,245 per gram, while 18K gold is up by ₹90 per gram, now priced at ₹9,201 per gram.
