Indian Railways, Vande Bharat Express: Since its introduction in 2019, the Vande Bharat Express train has become a symbol of modern, efficient and comfortable rail travel in the country. This semi-high-speed train has not only reduced the travel time between two cities but also enhanced connectivity.
Currently, 150 services of Vande Bharat Express trains (75 each in both UP and Down direction) are operational across the country. The Vande Bharat trains operate in three coach configurations: 20-car, 16-car, and 8-car sets, across the rail network.
With rising passenger demand, the national transporter is now adding more coaches to the existing Vande Bharat trains. Presently, 13 pairs of 20-coach Vande Bharat Express trains are running on various routes.

Now, the Ministry of Railways has planned to replace three pairs of Vande Bharat Express trains with 20 coaches. These are as follows:

The Vande Bharat Express can run up to a maximum speed of 160 kmph. The train offers passengers a faster, more comfortable, and premium travel experience.
