Vijay Deverakonda, who is rumoured to be dating actor Rashmika Mandanna, recently opened up about his views on love, relationships, and marriage. The actor admitted that his love comes with expectations and that he doesn’t resonate with the idea of unconditional love. He also revealed that he is currently in a relationship and has previously dated a co-star.
In a conversation with Curly Tales, Vijay shared, “I know what it feels like to be loved, and I know what it is to love. I don’t know unconditional love because my love comes with expectations, so clearly my love isn’t unconditional. I feel everything is over-romanticised. I don’t even know if it’s okay to expect unconditional love.”
Touching on the topic of marriage, Vijay expressed his belief that marriage can be more challenging for women. “Marriage doesn’t have to come in between someone’s career. Marriage is harder on women. It also depends on the profession you are in,” he said.
The actor also declared that he doesn’t go out on dates and emphasised that he prefers to build a strong friendship before taking things further. “I don’t go out on dates. I go out only after a long time of knowing someone, after building a friendship,” Vijay shared. He confirmed during the chat that he has dated a co-star and is currently in a relationship, jokingly adding, “I am 35 years old; you think I will be single?”
Vijay and Rashmika have starred together in films like Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade, and their close bond continues to spark dating rumours. The duo frequently supports each other on social media, fuelling speculation. Recently, Rashmika praised Vijay’s look from his upcoming film VD 12, while Vijay gave a shoutout to Rashmika after the release of the Pushpa 2 trailer.
